Student Voice
Students from both Key Stage 4 and 5 form the body of the Student Voice.
A member of staff works with the students to listen to their views on all aspects of College life. It is a great opportunity for students to express their opinions and suggestions and to allow their voice be heard.
Aims of the Student Voice:
- To listen
- To talk
- To highlight concerns
- To make suggestions
- To help implement change
Responsibilities of the Student Voice:
- Feedback concerns/ideas back to the Senior Leadership Team
- Plan and organise fundraising events for a variety of charities
- Support activities to raise awareness for National Awareness Days
- Perform room surveys to ensure there is adequate equipment readily available
Examples of changes made by the Student Voice:
- Resurfacing, new surrounding netting and goals for the Astroturf area
- Redesign of the Key Stage 5 Common Room
- Additional leisure equipment sourced for the outdoor areas, for use at break and lunch times
- New signage around the College building
- Outdoor Gym Equipment
- Additional outdoor bins purchased
