Break the Bias Art Trail

Break The Bias Art Trail

Thriftwood College students Maria, Lacee-Leigh and Faith answered the call for female artists to submit work to be displayed as part of Chelmsford’s International Women’s Days programme of events.

The theme this year is ‘Break the Bias’ and the student’s interpretations of what it means to be a woman were chosen for display on the art trail in shop windows across the city centre.

All three canvases were displayed in the window of ‘Linguary’ in The Meadows, alongside work by their Art Interventions mentor, Anna.  Cover Supervisor and Interventions Manager at Thriftwood College, Carol, was impressed with the young aspiring artists, saying, “The recently formed Art intervention that Anna runs is already producing amazing results, on a creative and emotional level.  Huge congratulations to our three talented young ladies, and well done to Anna for inspiring them!”.
