Thriftwood School, situated in the village of Galleywood two miles south of Chelmsford, was opened in November 1975 as purpose built provision for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs. We currently have 139 pupils on our school site.

Our buildings provide a safe and stimulating environment and our extensive school grounds offer a wealth of opportunities for learning outside the classroom.
